Woman Wrapped In Bed Sheets Tries To Rob Convenience Store

APOLLO, Pa. -- Police in Washington Township said a woman wrapped in bed sheets walked into a Westmoreland County convenience store early Wednesday and tried to rob the clerk.Police said the woman walked into the Glassmart on Hancock Avenue in Appollo around 2:45 a.m. Witnesses told police the woman had sheets wrapped over her head and body.According to investigators the woman demanded money and told the clerk she had a gun. When the clerk refused to give the woman money, she left the store, police said.
The woman is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and having black hair.
