'Swingers Club' Couple Will Not Appeal Zoning Ruling
Attorney: Couple To Vacate Property Because Of Sewer Problem

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- A couple running a business out of a home in North Huntingdon that many considered a swingers club will not appeal the Zoning Board's decision to close it.In October, board members ruled the couple's so-called church was instead a swingers club. Because the home is not zoned for business, the Zoning Board ordered it to close. The Zoning Board reviewed the Internet evidence that boasted big parties where women got in free. The board's members also heard from John Ondrik himself about the Church of Spiritual Humanism.
An attorney for John and Kim Ondrik said the couple will not appeal because the township later issued an eviction notice for the property because of a sewer problem. The attorney said the sewer problem is not the responsibility of the Ondriks and they will not appeal since they had to vacate the property anyway. The Zoning Board found that the Ondriks' business is called Swinger's Palace, a place for adults to meet and have sex. Running a swinger's club isn't illegal, but classifying the club as a church to get around taxes and zoning is illegal. The Ondriks had 30 days to make an appeal.
