Jon Greiner joined the WTAE Channel 4 family in February 2000.

Greiner, a native of Weirton, W. Va., is a general assignment reporter. His favorite part of the job is those times during the year when one of his stories "makes a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those on whom you report."

Married 24 years to his wife, Susan, Greiner graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in telecommunications.

His proudest achievement is a series of stories he did that brought tipsters forth after years of inactivity, helping solve unsolved homicides. Many of the homicides were cases for which the police didn't have any leads.

Some of Greiner's interests include golfing, playing softball, reading, writing and public speaking.

Greiner lists "The Pillars of the Earth" as his favorite book and broadcast.com as his favorite Web site.
